Most people think storytelling is about writing better content.
It’s not.
Storytelling is about controlling attention without asking for it.
Because attention doesn’t go to information. It goes to tension. To curiosity. To unanswered questions. To the gap between what someone knows and what they want to know.
That’s why facts alone never travel far — but stories do.
A story works when something is at stake. When something is incomplete. When the mind is forced to stay just a little longer to “see what happens next.”
And here’s the part most people miss:
You’re already using storytelling — even when you think you’re not.
The only question is whether you’re doing it intentionally… or letting randomness decide what people feel when they see your work.
