Most people think storytelling is about explaining things clearly.

It’s not.

Storytelling is about creating a pull strong enough that people want to keep going.

Because clarity alone doesn’t hold attention. If everything is immediately understandable, there is nothing left to explore. And if there is nothing to explore, there is no reason to stay.

That’s why good stories don’t start with answers.

They start with imbalance. With curiosity. With something slightly unresolved.

A missing piece. A strange detail. A question that doesn’t fully close.

And the deeper truth is this:

People don’t follow stories because they understand them.

They follow them because they need to complete them.
